I absolutely love it! It was exactly what I was looking for :) My initial screen unfortunately didn’t work, but after contacting Ronnie and diagnosing that the screen itself was faulty, he offered me a replacement the same day. After returning the faulty screen, I received my replacement within 2 days! Thankfully the replacement screen works perfectly! I have no problem with recommending Car Screen City and will certainly use them again, should the need ever arise in the future.
What a difference the new unit makes to my 2015 Vauxhall Mokka with Apple Car Play and a great picture from the new reversing camera. No need for a new car as my car is low mileage.

Horrible product never worked cost us time and money to fix

I’m glad this customer posted the auto electrician report to verify what a fool they are.
‘Technician found that the aux wire was not plugged in, and the fiber optic cable was not plugged in. After plugging everything in, the sound has returned, and the CarPlay is fully functional.’
When the customer insisted the audio on their first unit was not working, we sent them a second one, tested by ourselves to confirm perfect functionality, which they also couldn’t get working.
They took it to an auto electrician and as everyone can read for themselves, all they had to do was plug it in. They didn’t even have to try out the second unit which as mentioned, was left in the trunk of the car.
We even have photo evidence sent to us showing the fibre optic cable was left unplugged, causing the issue.
Despite posting the evidence of their mistake on this review, they take no accountability and will not return the second unit, meaning we have lost all income from the sale.
They even had the audacity to send us the invoice for the auto electrician plugging it in for them, claiming we should pay for it, and then threatened to take us to court.
‘Wiring of fibre optic round wrong way’ - this doesn’t make sense. The fibre optic wires are on the car wiring side, nothing to do with our unit. It just has to be unplugged from the current harness and plugged into the same place on the new harness. We now realise this is what the customer did not do properly, hence the audio not working.
‘Car door display round wrong way’ - this is changed in 5 seconds in the Settings, as we’ve now explained multiple times to the customer.
‘Defected reverse camera’ - they did not order a reverse camera from us, they ordered a dashcam, and despite sending written and video instructions to follow, they couldn’t figure out how to plug that in either.
You couldn’t make this up. Really quite shocking.
The product arrive with no issues very promptly. I wasn’t going to install it myself but with help from there staff I done it myself. Very reputable company.
I’m giving it 3 stars because I can’t get the external microphone included in the package to work. I connect it, but it doesn’t work. CarPlay also occasionally glitches.
Other than that, everything works great and I’m happy with the head unit.

Customer service was brilliant had a few little hiccups but can’t fault them
Easy enough to install but still not able to get steering wheel volume control to work,other controls work eg make a call,mute and change a track /radio station.
The unit came really well packaged. At first I was a bit daunted by the number of cables, but after watching a few of the Car Screen City videos about how to connect it, it began to make sense.
I’d watched videos about to remove the head unit already, so that was straight forward.
I had quite a few questions, which Ron was super helpful with answering. Their YT channel has lots of resources and advice, too. I never got the impression he was getting irritated by my questions!
Despite these queries and with the benefit of hindsight, the actual installation is not too complicated and I’m sure most people would find it straightforward.
I’m really pleased with the way it looks and we just need to get used to how to work CarPlay.
I would recommend the head unit if you want an upgrade.
I am not technically minded at all and was a little apprehensive about installing the unit. I finally bit the bullet today. It was surprisingly intuitive and very easy to use. The included instructions once the unit is installed are not great. So the online chat facility was outstanding. Would recommend to anyone even if you have no experience like me.
Overall a great screen, YouTube app is very temperamental though and either freezes and does allow you off or keeps reloading itself.
Other then that though looks and functions fantastic
Absolutely love my new stereo. Was a little tired of the stock sat nav being out of date and also mounting my phone for maps app but now with CarPlay I can do maps and select music too. Hands free work well so it’s a lot easier. I only use the CarPlay part through the zlink connection so can’t comment of the other features.
I had some questions about my order as this was probably the first ever car stereo I’ve installed but the help received was fantastic… I did have a rear camera fitted prior which had funny wiring but with the extra troubleshooting help everything got sorted.
Product arrived in good time, well packaged and no damage.
Installation and useability was a different thing. Fitting was a good match with no fettling needed but there were many issues with the device. Two videos available on YT were conflicting with regards to plug colours and connection (the company knew about this since they told me in communications but have done nothing to rectify that).. but I tried both... neither worked for FM or DAB stations. Contacted the seller who was helpful but told me that I needed to download and install a DAB radio station app from Google (I HAD bought the added DAB piece required). Having done this I was expecting it to work, surely... but no... It needed a permanent internet connection to allow the DAB radio so, that then done... I got 14 DAB stations with poor reception. OK, this may have been my location so I drove off along main roads where I should have been good, but no... the radio reception faded to non-existence on all counts except AM radio. I had downloaded the map for my area and tried the satnav facility... I did stop driving to program it because it was so cumbersome that it would have been dangerous to drive. IN any event, after many efforts, I failed to program it so abandoned the idea. OK.. the satnav failed, the radio failed.. let's have a look at the storage... I downloaded quite a few of my own songs to play while I drove... sadly, finding them again was difficult but after I did find them, I could not get a folder view to sift through my choices easier but I did manage to make a selection and when I did make a selection, that was it... I could not get back out of that selection unless I turned the car off and started again. I was supplied with a number of pieces that the videos suggested would not be needed.. i.e. additional aerials, antennas and connectors... with the issue on the radio situation I felt the need to try all of them and I did but there was no change. Two days of installation, removal, adjustment re-installation.. heck the unit was in and out so many times but I had had enough. I had been in touch with the suppliers who made suggestions but nothing worked so I requested a return and refund. I followed their instructions and returned the bulky item and a decent cost. After a few Royal Mail failed deliveries (reporting no-one there to receive the recorded delivery) I was informed that the item had been delivered and after a few more days I was refunded just £300 from the £334.98 I had originally paid and not a single penny from the return postage. In total, I have been left around fifty quid out of pocket having bought and tried a device that did not work with my vehicle. I am sure that Carscreencity will say that they tried to help me by suggesting I took photos and videos of my connections (which they did)... but that was not the issue.... I got things to work... but it was very bad... 14 DAB stations that faded to nothing and did not return... one FM station that was faint, MY downloaded files that were impossible to work with.. THAT was not a connection issue. And then the non refund of the postage charges.. well their webpage advertises free shipping to UK .. so why did I not get my full refund of £334.98... and there was no mention of refunding my own postal costs to return BUT... their refund policy IS CLEAR.. you will not get P&P refunded.. so be aware of that.
IN all, I feel that the company has done all what they have said they would do according to their website, but as a customer I just feel that I am out of pocket by around fifty quid and have wasted two days of my life trying to install and setup a device that is poor quality and that I wish I had never bothered with.

Plenty of misunderstanding here, despite communicating clearly and promptly with the customer.
It was explained that the Brown coloured connector in the car was the factory DAB aerial.
We have two installation videos for this vehicle, one was from a year ago and has a ‘commentary’ style, in which the DAB aerial was mistakenly identified as Blue.
In the second recent video, the mistake was rectified and the DAB Receiver was clearly shown as connecting to the Brown aerial. This is a follow along style video without commentary. We don’t want to lose the original commentary video and will be remaking it the next time we are booked to fit this car and have a chance.
Communicated to customer.
If the DAB+ Receiver is connected correctly to the Brown factory DAB aerial, there has always been the exact same signal as on the original stereo.
We have fitted and sold for changing this particular stereo more than any other, as it is the same factory stereo as in the Nissan Navara, Qashqai, Juke, X Trail, and so on. We have sold and fitted hundreds, maybe thousands of units which are designed for changing this factory stereo to an aftermarket one.
The DAB signal has always worked exactly the same with our unit as on the original.
If it didn’t, there is only one possibility - a connection error. We asked for a picture of the customer’s connections, which is standard practice when a connection error is suspected, as there is simply no other way to identify the issue.
We see and resolve customer connection errors every day, it’s the main bulk of the technical support work.
However, interestingly, this customer refused sending us the pictures we requested. Meaning we were unable to help them.
They also reported their other strange problem with not being able to read their files from their own memory stick, which had not previously been reported or experienced before.
We asked for a video of this to try and understand and resolve the problem.
Again this was ignored.
The customer apparently seems to think a constant internet supply is needed for DAB signal. This was never communicated, either on the unit or by ourselves. It is simply needed temporarily for installing an app to receive the DAB signal, as well as providing an interface to browse the DAB station.
‘Satnav’ - the customer seemed oblivious to what Apple CarPlay/Android Auto are, despite these being the primary reason for purchasing our units.
We explained it to them but it seemed to be beyond their comprehension. They instead insisted on installing map files onto a navigation app installed on the unit, which is only recommended to use as a backup, given that using the unit as standard with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto is far more integrated and intuitive, with navigation being available as soon as the phone is connected. Evidently they abandoned that too, despite being sent clear video instructions.
We persisted with trying to help the customer despite not having anything to work with to identify and resolve the issues, but were met with refusal, resignation, and a request of a return. Which we accepted, as they were unwilling to co-operate and let us help them. I don’t know what else they expected in this situation, if you refuse to work with the company to resolve your issues.
We always refund the full postage costs if the issue is clearly on our end, as that is only right. In this case the customer did not give us a chance to identify and resolve the issues despite our attempts, so the postage cost would 100% be on them, as is only right.
The product was returned in damaged packaging, original packaging missing with cables returned in a used and unsaleable connection, frame unsaleable due to screw holes being visible.
We took the brunt of most of this loss.
I wish best of luck to the next company’s representatives they purchase a unit from.
Overall i’d rate it at a solid 3, carplay is intermittent and can be quite laggy.
Communication with the company was quite well though.
I bought this Android Auto / Apple CarPlay unit from CarScreenCity for my son's Kia Ceed and I'm really pleased with it. It looks great in the car and the screen quality is excellent.
Fitting was straightforward for the most part. The one fiddly bit was the reversing camera, since the Ceed hatchback has its reversing light in the tailgate but the camera needed to go in the bumper. That meant running extra wire between the two, which took a bit of extra work but wasn't difficult once I'd worked out the route.
The microphone was my only real concern early on. Out of the box it struggled badly, my son sounded barely audible on calls. Before assuming it was a hardware fault, I went into the restricted menu and found a simple tick-box for "External Mic". Enabling it fixed the problem completely, so it's worth checking that setting before writing the unit off.
I fitted the GPS and 4G antenna to the windscreen rather than tucking it out of sight, mainly to get the best possible signal, and that's worked well.
Overall the unit itself is fast, responsive, and looks the part. Fitting takes a little patience depending on your car's camera and light layout, but nothing an average DIY-er can't handle. Recommended.
Great quality piece of kit with all the right cables and fittings to make it look better than factory fit. Even more important was the 5 star customer service if you get any setup issues. These guys know their stuff don’t buy from anyone else!!

I installed a head unit on my 2016 Land Cruiser 150. I spent a lot of time researching what to do, and Car Screen City came up as the most reliable.
Installation was a little more complicated than I had thought it would be, but I got there in the end thanks to Ron's help and support over email.
The system works well, and having a fast, responsive unit with good sound quality and screen for CarPlay is excellent and a worthwhile upgrade.
Great unit, I self fitted it so I was slower than most but I have it all working perfectly. The screen is very good and the navigation is pretty straightforward.
I used the chat function to talk to someone who helped me with an issue.
All in all, I would definitely buy again.

Looked at about 3 head unit company’s before ordering one..sent them all an email about exactly what I wanted..Incartech was only company that replied..so I went with them which was almost double price of Car Screen City..but when I received it..head unit wouldn’t fit & also it was almost plug & play..but had to cut some wires which I absolutely didn’t want to do as want option of re fitting old head unit..so sent it back & got full refund..so I then gave up on head units..but sitting in the pub one day I contacted Car Screen City through FB Messanger & they replied within 10 mins..sent me all the details & also video on how to fit it..thank god I messaged them..outstanding service..followed the video & it is working like a dream..absolutely no issues..everything they said would work is working..if I had to criticise anything it would be the length of the wi-fi antenna cable..I wanted to fit it in roof panel where alarm sensor are..I manage to remove the original mic & fit new one supplied as the cable was long enough but couldn’t fit the wi-fi antenna in same place because length of cable…but managed to put it in the pillar next to windscreen it’s working great..I’m still over the moon with the head unit & it also makes the interior look better…no buttons..just a minimalistic look…👌
The delivery arrived really quickly and it was packed carefully. The installation was so easy that I didn't even need the instructions. I literally took the old cables off and snapped the new ones into place. The device itself works quickly and smoothly. Remember to be careful when removing the panels from your dashboard. One of my plastic panels cracked, but luckily I was able to order a new one for my car from eBay. Of course, that's not this device's fault. I am very satisfied. My phone connects automatically to the device every time I get in my car.
